FGP Hardwood supplies European ash in different grades, dimensions and specifications, with supply options adapted to the requirements of professional buyers and manufacturing applications.

European Ash Grades & Dimensions

European ash is available in A, B and C grades, offering different levels of selection and natural character according to the requirements of the final product.

European Ash Characteristics

European ash is characterised by its distinctive grain, light natural colour and expressive texture. Its appearance typically ranges from creamy white to pale brown, with natural variations that give the timber a lively and recognisable character.

Beyond its appearance, European ash combines strength, toughness and good workability, making it well suited to a wide range of manufacturing applications. It machines well and can be glued, stained and finished effectively, while its flexibility also makes it particularly suitable for bent and shaped components.

European Ash Applications

European ash is widely used in furniture manufacturing and interior joinery, with applications ranging from chairs, tables and cabinetry to stairs, doors and other solid wood components. Its combination of strength and flexibility also makes it particularly suitable for shaped and bent components.

Other applications include flooring, veneers and turned products, where its distinctive grain and light natural appearance can become an important part of the finished design.
