European Beech Characteristics

European beech is characterised by its fine, uniform texture, straight grain and light natural colour. Its appearance typically ranges from creamy white to pale pinkish tones, creating a clean and consistent surface well suited to both natural and finished applications.

Beyond its appearance, European beech combines hardness, strength and excellent workability. It machines, glues, turns and finishes well, while its outstanding steam-bending properties make it particularly suitable for curved and shaped components.

European Beech Applications

European beech is widely used in furniture manufacturing and interior joinery, where its hardness, uniform texture and excellent machining properties make it suitable for a wide range of finished products and wooden furniture components. Common applications include chairs, tables, stairs, flooring and precision-machined components such as legs, rails, handles and turned parts.

European beech is also used for wooden toys, kitchenware, veneers and plywood, where its fine texture, consistent appearance and ability to accept different finishes make it a versatile material for both functional and decorative products.
